There are two albums currently available for free download on Noise Trade. A third – “Prayers & Apocalpyses” is planned.
“Close To Home” is a selection of tracks from my 2008 “Love Songs” CD – which were all songs written for friends and family. Fresh Radishes is a song of memories of growing up with my dad. Others are about facing personal illness and breakdown with hope and courage. “How Come…” is about me getting older. Hopefully you like the Brazilian influence – thanks to my bossa teacher, Ife Tolentino: though I don’t do him justice! | X | “Beautiful Surrender” is a selection of songs mainly written since 2010 along themes of acceptance or surrender. The title is the name of the tune I wrote to Isaac Watts’ famous hymn, “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross.” The album art is a photo I took of the Mississippi River, which partly then inspired the baptism song, “Wash My Sullied Clothes”. “Here I Am” & “I Lay It Down” were both recorded back in 2008, the other songs were recorded in 2015. | Hungry is a beautiful song by Kathryn Scott, which I have given an alternative arrangement here. The actual recording is still a work in progress. |
